Albany — 2 nights

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Explore Albany's surroundings by going to Denmark (Elephant Rocks, Singlefile Wines, &more). There's much more to do: examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach, take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

For other places to visit, ratings, photos, and more tourist information, read Albany attractions planning site.

Perth to Albany is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Perth in January, with highs in Albany at 29°C and lows at 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Margaret River.
