City of the Tribes

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Salthill Beaches and Lahinch Beach. Escape the urban bustle at Cliffs of Moher and Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre. Venture out of the city with trips to Ballyvaughan (Burren Birds of Prey Centre & Aillwee Cave), Doolin Cave (in Doolin) and Burren National Park (in Corofin). The adventure continues: stroll around Eyre Square.

For traveler tips, maps, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Galway vacation maker.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In July in Galway, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Wed) so you can travel back home.
