Galway — 3 nights

City of the Tribes

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at University of Limerick and Joyce Country Sheepdogs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Galway: Dog's Bay Beach (in Roundstone), Quiet Man Bridge (in Oughterard) and O`Dalaigh Jewellers (in Clifden). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Royal Abbey of Cong, explore the historical opulence of Dromoland Castle, and ride a horse along Carrowholly Stables & Trekking Centre.

To see more things to do, traveler tips, photos, and tourist information, refer to the Galway sightseeing planner.

If you are flying in from India, the closest major aiports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In February, daily temperatures in Galway can reach 7°C, while at night they dip to 2°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
