Galway — 3 nights

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
Change things up with these side-trips from Galway: Aillwee Cave (in Ballyvaughan), Cliffs of Moher (in Liscannor) and Burren National Park (in Corofin). Spend the 4th (Fri) exploring nature at Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre. There's still lots to do: cruise along Wild Atlantic Way, step into the grandiose world of Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, make a trip to Quay Street, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Galway Cathedral.

August in Galway sees daily highs of 19°C and lows of 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
