The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Stiftsbibliothek and Confiserie Sprungli. Kids will enjoy Zoo Basel and Kirche Enge. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Zurich: Gurten (in Wabern), Bern (UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern & Rose Garden (Rosengarten)) and Basel (Basel Minster & Town Hall). There's still lots to do: walk around Lindenhof Hill, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fraumünster Church, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Uetliberg Mountain, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Grossmunster.
