With a shape often compared to a swan or a harp, Erasmus Bridge reflects the industrial yet creative character of the city. It stands 139 m (456 ft) tall and 802 m (2,631 ft) long above the Nieuwe Maas River, and connects the north and south sides of the city. Featured in Hollywood movies and seen in the Tour de France, the asymmetrical bridge is an icon of Rotterdam. You can cross by car or bus, or on foot or by bicycle. Stop along the way to observe the panorama of this flat city, dotted with some bulky industrial buildings. Wow and Wow - makes you wonder at how they build these bridges - well worth a visit if in Rotterdam. Traffic very busy and seems to come from every direction at ends - so make sure you only cross...

Walking over a bridge is extra exciting, but with a wheelchair an extra challenge. Rotterdam has several bridges, this remains my favorite.

Nice place for taking photos next to a huge constructed bridge. The most amazing is the view of ships and boats passing through the river. It is one of the largest ports in Europe. Actually it has captured me than Hamburg port in Germany. The skyline is also breathtaking. You take a brunch near the coastline and enjoy the view. However, it is a bot cold at night so take a jacket.

It's a very beautiful bridge specially at the time of sunset when the sun shines on it from one side. Watch the boats and merchant ships pass under the bridge, watch the giant cruise ship that's parked just near the bridge are some of the activities you could do to spend time on it.
