The old cave paintings of Viking Cave remain a mystery even today, as depictions of old European boats and Arabic iconography raise the questions of how and why they got there. Due to the population of nesting swallows in the cave, the locals now gather the valuable commodity of bird nests (made out of the swallows' saliva) from the walls. The abundance of scaffolding, people, and birds in the area mean that entrance into the cave is rarely permitted. Cool cave looked interesting. You’re not allowed in though. Snorkelling areas around the cave were very choppy waters and hundreds of jellyfish so be aware before you get in.
