Known for its natural beauty and abundant marine life, Ao Ton Sai is still redeveloping after the destruction of the 2004 tsunami. Nonetheless, you will find a new pier and promenade along the white sand and turquoise water as well as plenty of hotels, restaurants, and bars. With a reputation as a budget destination, the area draws visitors to its nightclubs, which blast music until the early morning. • Pleasant beach near of the main port Tonsai. In the evening you can see there lightening plankton. Pleasant evening sitting at small bars. Nice place at evening.
  • Worst beach I've been to on Phi Phi. Soooo many insects bothering you while on the sand. I thought maybe it was just the time of day but I went back several hours later and faced the same problem. There's also tons of boats driving in and out constantly so the atmosphere is not relaxing at all.
