Samui Elephant Sanctuary, Bophut

This is a place doing their very best for the rescued elephants in their care. These elephants have had a long, tough life in rough conditions working in logging and tourism. Return to the wild is out of the question, so this sanctuary is the next best thing. The elephants are able to roam freely and are fed a carefully monitored diet designed specifically for their age to ensure the best outcomes for their health. As a guest, we get the chance to learn about the elephants, feed them by hand, and get up close for pictures. An unforgettable experience and a place that deserves your support!

Had a great time seeing and feeding the elephants! Overall rather expensive but had a great time and would still recommend it. The staff were very friendly and patient, and the ride to and from the hotel was very convenient. Pickup was very close to the actual tour start time unlike what the site says, they communicated the day before when the ride is actually going to be. Also unlike what the site and email say, you don't necessarily need closed-toe shoes, my sandals were just fine. Also they give out water bottles, no need to bring your own. The food at the end wasn't great, but that's not what we came for...
