Create an itinerary including Faulhorn
Hike to the rounded peak of Faulhorn and admire the rugged scenery of the snowcapped Bernese Alps. Several trails wind their way to the 2,681 m (8,796 ft) summit. At the top, take in sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Thurne below. Stop in the well-known hotel at the summit, where you can reward yourself with a fortifying meal. The ascent requires a decent level of fitness, but the well-preserved trail won't present any great challenge to experienced hikers. • We stopped here for lunch while on our hike from Schynige Platte to First. It was super packed on a summer weekday and we had to wait a little to get a table. The view is awesome. The food is pretty standard for mountain huts. We were served very promptly. Would have been a much better experience if it wasn’t so crowded and noisy.
  • The view was spectacular! The journey will be challenging on your way up but it’s worth it.
