This is very beautiful, but I was really looking forward to the audioguides and they were app based and impossible to figure out. Plus, I was there when it was nearly 100F so they had the top floor...

Absolutely mind blowing. Had so much taxidermy animals and were all laid out so artfully and intelligently. Some of the display cases were really modern in their execution, almost like little art installations of beautiful birds. Really enjoyed every moment. Will go back in a flash 10/10 and was free which was a touch. Probably don’t go if you’re vegan. Looked like they had a nice cafe and a nice gift shop.

Museum is easily accessible by bus from city centre. There is a very wide range of all sorts of animals, sea lift etc. All stuffed/preserved, nothing living! Descriptions are almost only in French, but that wouldn't stop non-francophone kids finding it interesting to look at all the displays. Entry to the permanent exhibits (which seems to be about 95% of the museum) is free. There is a basic cafe in the building.
