I have hiked here quite a few times - all with groups - some of which were quite long (almost 20km). The best way to see it is through hikes. You will pass amazing sceneries with lakes and forests...

Easy to get to by public transport from Stockholm. There are many routes to choose from, toilet facilities en-route and the cafe is good! Even if visiting Stockholm for a short while, you can take visit Tyresta during the day and be back in the city for late afternoon-early evening. You can also camp overnight and there are barbecue spaces along each route.

If you want to get out from the noise of the city of Stockholm, not far you have this beautiful national park with few lakes, forest, good hiking routes (stroller friendly). You can also find few grill places with awesome views. Camping also available. We had a really nice walk here. Many routes to choose from. Recommended! 👍
