Named for its corkscrew-like characteristics, Korketrekkeren tobogganing track sends visitors flying down the 255 m (837 ft) drop over 2 km (1.24 mi). Originally a bobsled track, it was built for the 1952 Winter Olympics but also hosted the FIL World Luge Championships in 1955. The track takes 8-10 minutes to complete. Located along the Holmenkollen subway line, the track begins at the Frognerseteren subway station. Here you can purchase drinks and snacks, as well as rent sleds and helmets. Hop on the subway at Midtstuen subway station and a quick 13-minute ride will take you back to the top. Be sure to dress in warm, waterproof clothes to make the most of the spectacular speeds and sights. Make Korketrekkeren part of your personalized Oslo itinerary using our Oslo trip planning website.

  • I think that it is awesome that you can sled for 10 minutes nonstop. Just catch the train back up. Warm coffee and waffles up top make it awesom

  • There is a big slege track that is so long that it takes about 10 minutes to end. Sometimes it is bit dangerous, But it is real fun.

  • Amazing sledging experience, easy to rent the sledges at c. 130NOK per person. Just follow the path down if you are arriving from the T-Bane and you’ll see the signs to rent a sledge. Follow the path further down past the restaurant for the sledge path. Watch out for the corners as you do build up some speed!!
  • It’s a beautiful place to visit. You can see snow capped mountains. You can ski and sledge. Sledding equipment’s are available for rent for €15 to €20 euros. Come equipped with gloves and boots. You will have to spend half a day here to enjoy.
