Designed and established by Scotsman Neil McEacharn, Botanical Gardens Of Villa Taranto is home to more than 3,000 plant species. You'll see 300 different types of dahlias, plus azaleas, and Victorian Amazonian greenhouses. The garden's villa has been renovated into government offices that are closed to the public, but you can still admire the outer facade's Victorian artifice. The manicured lawn and fountains outside the villa are free to roam, as are the rest of the 16 hectares (40 acres) of elegant gardens. • Lovely gardens with some shady walkways. Highly recommended if you love plants and would like to spend a pleasant few hours amongst indigenous and some exotic plants. Plenty of benches and nooks to sit and admire various vistas
  • My favourite gardens in Italy. A very unique display of plants, so well laid out and very beautiful. It's an easy walk around and not too exhausting to do the whole thing!
