Piazza Navona, Rome

Piazza Navona is always mentioned as a must visit place when you are in Rome. It is a beautiful place where you can grab a drink and something to eat and watch the world go by and take in Rome in all its splendour. The Piazza is encased with typically Roman buildings and has grand statues and a stunning fountain in the middle. There are plenty of restaurants and bars for refreshments. Grab a seat and watch everyone wonder past. Seems to be a place locals walk there dogs. I love dogs so seeing all the happy wee furry friends going past was a real treat.

It's absolutely gorgeous. It's justified to have a lot of people flocking over the place, and it's manageable, we were able to take some decent photos there and enjoy the place in all its glory and detail even though a part of the fountains are duplicates and the original olden sculptures are kept safe from the public. We were able to sit and rest on a bench for some time as well. I'd advise to keep an eye on your belongings in such lively places though. Otherwise, all is good.
