Create an itinerary including Norman Palace
Admire one of the finest examples of Arab-Norman art in the modern city of Palermo at Norman Palace. Originally the seat of the kings of Sicily, the 12th-century palace now houses Sicily's seat of the regional parliament. It features a mix of Byzantine, medieval, and Arabic-influenced architecture and decor. Visit the mosaic-covered interior of the Palentine Chapel. At the palace, note the animal motifs that adorn the walls. One ticket includes admission to both palace and chapel. • The Norman Palace contains the Capella Palatina. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mosaics in the chapel are quite sublime. The chapel is not particularly large, but quite awesome.

  • We went there on Thursday and it was partially closed and still the price was the same as for other days. For 10 euros you are able to see chapel (the best part), garden (very small) and main hall. I would give 2 stars but when we wanted to use toilet we were asked to pay 0.5 euros (even if we paid 10 euros for entrance) so the final score for this place is 1/5 - don’t go there, better spend your money on food!
  • I am from Palermo but I haven't visited the palace since I was probably 8yo. The price (19€) it's a bit high so I was expecting something extraordinary...and this is exactly what I have got. Absolutely recommend as you can see different styles of the old town and population.
