A house-museum covered with beautiful ceramic tiles, Museum of tiles Stanze al Genio is located in the Palazzo Torre Piraino. Tiles from the 16th to the 20th centuries completely cover the walls of this private home, which is open to the public for tours. Tiles were affectionately collected over 30 years, including those saved from the bombing wreckage of World War II. Calling ahead for a reservation is necessary in order to visit the museum. A beautiful place and a great private collection. I would recommend at least a couple of visits as there are so many pieces in the exposition but each guided visit lasts only 40 minutes.

The most wonderful place, the accommodation is splendid, brillant breakfast and most helpful host and the adjoining museum an absolute gem so a must for visitors to the city.
