Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum
Artifacts found at Waterford share their story at Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum. A costumed re-enactor leads you through the display galleries and infuses the experience with stories of battles and daily life. The Great Charter Roll of Waterford of 1373 holds a place of honor among the artifacts, as do gold medieval vestments that sparkle under the display lights. The attraction is connected to two other museums, so consider a combination ticket to save money on the ticket price of each. Guided tours take place every 45 minutes, and you are free to roam the museum yourself after the tour. Photography is allowed, but remember to turn off your flash. If you're hungry, stop by the on-site cafe. You can leave belongings and overcoats at the cloakroom. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Waterford holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

We elected to do the multi-museum entrance package and I am glad that we did. This museum in particular was the best out of all that were included, but I don’t know that I would have separately paid..... more

Don’t miss this Museum if you’re in Waterford. The displays are really visitor- friendly and the Treasures are exactly that… treasures beyond price from Henry VIII hat to the magnificent charters.

This is a really worthwhile museum to visit, especially when the entry fee is part of the combined Waterford Museums ticket. I loved that the basement has stone steps and walls from the original building. It houses a compact but impressive collection, including the lost vestments from the 1400s.

This was an excellent experience. Fantastic presentation of Waterfords history. The tour guide was excellent. The building itself is modern and well serviced. The artifacts are stunning. The staff were really helpful from the moment you entered the bbuilding. The yearly ticket giving you access to the other local historic attractions is a great idea, and is very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend a visit.
