  • Great place to visit. Tour was very interesting and informative. Amazing look at old machinery still in working condition. Premium tasting experience worth the extra cost. Very popular so parking is at a premium while renovations are taking place so get there early.
  • Don't waste your time. There are friendlier people and better distilleries in Ireland. We drove almost 2 hours and arrived 20+ minutes before the 11 am tour. When we arrived their system was down and they couldn't schedule or add anyone to the tour. Not a problem, technology fails at times. Surely they could work around it? WRONG! We asked if we could pay cash and they said, "No, we can't even open our tills." So, no offer of "Hey, it is $25/person and you can pay us $50 now and if the system is working when you get out we'll add the taxes!" Nope, they simply told us to wait around until 12 pm and MAYBE their system would be up and they could get us on that tour. We looked around the store and my wife asked one of the workers about a whisky that wasn't smoky/peaty. The worker mouthed off "That is scotch!" and walked away. For some reason the CC machine in the bar worked and we were able to purchase a flight. That was the most expensive 3 samples ever. I have never received a stingier pour than what they offered. We had flights in several locations in Ireland (not to mention flights in other places) and never were they as tiny as what Jameson's provided. We had planned on buying a couple of bottles, but after this we just left. BTW, there shop prices are higher than the local stores, so if you go and find one you like just remember the name and buy it elsewhere. Again, they don't seem to care about the customer and the time we wasted. You would think a 'tourist' location would understand people are on schedules and waiting around for their system to 'possibly' come back on line is not an option. Just skip Jameson's and tour the numerous other distilleries in Ireland. Pictures are just to prove we were there.
