    The statue is on the Main Street of Cong and worth a walk over. The town prides itself on the making of The Quiet Man movie in Cong so definitely get a photo by the statue.

    This statue remembers the two lead stars of The Quiet Man, a legendary, sentimental 1950s John Ford movie filmed in Cong. Your interest in the statue will probably be directly proportional to your interest in the movie. Since the town plays on memories of the movie to the hilt to attract tourists, this statue is made for fans to take a picture
