I was not sure about visiting, but so glad I did. It is so beautiful inside and you feel at peace. You can light a candle in memory of a loved one.

My brother Mark and I loved touring Saint Joseph's Church while visiting Clifden, Ireland. We were delighted to find the doors of the sanctuary open and we had the place to ourselves for about an hour. One of my favorite pictures is of Mark kneeling and praying before the statue of Jesus. Little did we know that this picture would the main photo used at his funeral when he died from cancer shortly after our trip. Needless to say, this church will have a special in my heart forever. Thank you Saint Joseph's for leaving your beautiful sanctuary open and available to visitors like us!
