  • Lovely 5km looped walk around this interesting heritage site. The walk has great (rugged) interactive stop points to teach you about the area. Well with an hour or 2 if you're in the area on a dry day.
  • This is FREE! That's right... FREE. Not only that but you get two attractions in one location. The Alcock and Brown landing site and the Marconi Radio Transmission site. It's been awhile since we last visited this place and what a difference a few years can make. The work that has been done to make the site far more accessible is fantastic. The road is still a track so do wear solid shoes. Do also remember that you are going out to a bog and while there are some shelters you need to be prepared. Also, there are lots of sheep about. They did not bother us but my daughter did not like the way they starred at her🤣 There are now walkways to help you easily access the more difficult areas and information points scattered throughout the site giving you some brief history of what went on here in the early 1900's. Whoever put this all together deserves the utmost praise 👏. Congratulations to all involved.
