  • This is THE place to go for a sheep dog demonstration. The fort is also very interesting and I highly recommend getting a guided tour. Don't skip the movie. It gives you a great understanding of how people lived in the forts. Do not!!! Leave without getting a scone with fresh cream. 5 trips to Ireland and it's still my favorite scone. Get extra if you are close to the date you are going to leave. They freeze well. The prices in their gift shop are fair. I found a sweater there that I wore the entire next trip. Arrive early and spend the first half of your day here. It's truly a gem in the Burren.
  • Really enjoyable. The Fort was very interesting but we loved the sheep dog demonstrations. The dogs were clever and friendly and their owner was a very nice man. He allowed my son to hold one of the lambs. The cafe was really nice and even had gluten free food for us coeliac. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were very nice. We will definitely return during the summer. I would highly recommend.
