The Point Equestrian Centre and Pony Trekking, Clifden

The team at The Point were fantastic. They were considerate of the ability levels of groups, and would listen when you wanted to take things up a notch as well. They can provide you with helmets, riding boots, chaps and whips as needed. The trek they do takes you over a bit of grassland, bit of country road, a few beautiful pristine beaches and over to an island where horses wade through the water. The varied experience keeps it very engaging. Also shout out to Philip who looked after me and my brother during our time there, he’s very knowledgeable, patient and observant to us. We had a group of 8 with 3 guides.

Gorgeous views for miles, wonderful staff and they are very safety aware. Squeezed us in the same day we rang. Horses are gentle and so sweet! Highly recommend for a beautiful experience, cater to all levels as well. Myself and 13 yr daughter had an amazing afternoon!
