Arken Museum of Modern Art, Ishoej

Arken Museum of Modern Art features works of modern and contemporary artists, including eight works of the controversial British artist Damien Hirst. See some of Hirst's most famous works: a dead cow immersed in formaldehyde, a diamond skull, and dead butterflies glued to a canvas. The museum has collected around 400 post-war contemporary art pieces by artists such as Olafur Eliasson, Shirin Neshat, and Wolfgang Tillmans. The building itself is a work of art that takes the distinctive form of a ship stranded on the shore only few meters from the sea.
