Create an itinerary including Squeaky Beach
Squeaky Beach takes its name from the sound it makes when you walk across its rounded quartz grains. A fine landscape accompanies the unusual soundscape--white sand meets turquoise water, and granite headlands sit on the horizon. At the northern end of the beach, wander among granite boulders that form a labyrinth.

  • This was a very pretty and spectacular beach with unusual sand that does squeak as you walk , hence its name. Another stunning example of the Wilsons Prom coastline.

  • Here are 2 options to get to Squeaky Beach. The first is to go to the carpark at the actual beach, or secondly go from Tidal River. We chose to go from Tidal River which was along a formed earth track. The views towards the beach were amazing, and the beach itself is white squeaky sand.
  • Such a beautiful beach to spend an evening. The sand does squeaky under foot (when in dry sand). The white sand is beautiful. The carpark has public toilets. The rock formation around the beach is also amazing.
