  • Dear Bewilderwood I visited the lantern parade 1/11/20 with my husband, nearly 4 year old and 7 month old. I just needed to say a huge thank you from all of us. The event was well organised from...  more »

  • It's just the perfect place for kids. I went with my daughter and grandchildren, 5 and 10. We went last summer and they were thrilled to be going again. This time I bought the tickets on line beforehand and saved about £6. The only drawback is the queue for the boat trip into the forest (you can walk there). At peak time you can wait half an hour. Once inside there is so much to do, climbing, tree houses, rickety bridges, zip wires, slides, mazes, swings, face painting, craft, camp building. The activities are varied and suited to different ages(sizes). It's lovely being outside in the woods, and many of the activities stimulate the imagination. Safety is paramount. Quality refreshments are available at various outlets and the toilets are spotless. I am 72 and was able to join in many of the activities. I would highly recommend this as a brilliant day out for the family.
  • Wonderful day out for us and our girls aged 4 & 7. There's a new play structure since we last visited too which is lovely. Suggest that you leave the boat trip until later in the day. Then walk back to the entrance during the afternoon to do the trip then. Avoids the queues in the morning and the queues of people going back to the entrance from within the play areas. We all loved it!
