Create an itinerary including The White Cliffs of Dover
The The White Cliffs of Dover represent the most famous facet of the English coastline due to their proximity to Continental Europe, striking appearance, and role in forming a symbolic barrier to invasion. Bask in the view that for hundreds of years served as the first or last sight of England for travellers heading to or from Europe. If it’s a clear day, you can even view France from on top of the cliffs. Walk on one of the clearly marked paths or simply sit and watch the bustling port of Dover. If you want to seek shelter from the marine winds, browse the gift shop or enjoy a cup of tea in the cafe. Sturdy shoes are recommended for rambling on top of the cliffs as the chalk, to which the cliffs owe their white appearance, can become slippery if wet. • How do you review something so iconic?! It's a good walk and the view is excellent of the port and on a good day you can see the French coast. You have to pay to park, though there are plenty of spaces available.
  • Amazing place to visit! Only had to pay for the car park as entry which was lovely. Very scenic route, very easy to navigate and was beautiful.
