Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Get some cultural insight at Fisherman's Bastion and Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum. Visit Buda Castle and Matthias Church for their historical value. There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at House of Terror Museum, admire the striking features of Hungarian Parliament Building, admire the masterpieces at Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galeria), and snap pictures at Szechenyi Lanchid.

Prague lures millions of tourists each year with its World Heritage-listed medieval city center--a labyrinth of narrow lanes, bridges, cathedrals, and palaces overlooked by a thousand-year-old castle.
You've now added Prague Castle to your itinerary. Let the collections at Lobkowicz Palace and DOX Centre for Contemporary Art capture your imagination. Staromestske namesti and St. Vitus Cathedral are good opportunities to explore the local culture.
