Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Bru na Boinne and Kilkenny Handwrought Silver. For shopping fun, head to Olde Shillelagh Stick Maker or DesignYard. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Dublin: Kilkenny Castle (in Kilkenny), Jerpoint Glass Studio (in Stoneyford) and Glasrai Goodies (in Gowran).
