A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
Venture out of the city with trips to Westport (Marlene's Chocolate Haven, Carrowholly Stables & Trekking Centre, &more), Doolin (Doolin Garden and Nursery, Irish Crafts - Doolin, &more) and Liscannor (Moher Hill Open Farm and Leisure Park, Cliffs of Moher, &more). Spend the 4th (Wed) among the memorable landscape of The Burren. There's still lots to do: explore the wealth of natural beauty at Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre, admire the landmark architecture of Galway Cathedral, step into the grandiose world of King John's Castle, and get to know the fascinating history of Salthill Promenade.
