A popular holiday destination with world-class surfing, Biarritz has interesting coastal rock formations and stellar waves that make this luxurious seaside town popular with tourists and surfers alike.
Get some historical perspective at Phare De Biarritz and Chateau Abbadia. Get in touch with nature at Hendaye Beach and Corsaires Beach. Take a break from Biarritz with a short trip to L'Atelier du Piment in Espelette, about 30 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: get engrossed in the history at Villa Arnaga, kick back and relax at Plage d'Erromardie, don't miss a visit to Port des Pecheurs, and pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedrale Sainte-Marie de Bayonne.

On the northern edge of the Pyrénées, Pau is the perfect base to explore the mountains and ride the Funiculaire de Pau, a unique historic funicular railway that links the city center and Boulevard des Pyrénées to the railway station Gare de Pau.
On the 4th (Tue), examine the collection at Château de Pau, then learn about winemaking at Clos Lapeyre, then do a tasting at Cru Lamouroux, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Boulevard des Pyrenees.
