City of the Tribes

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
Take a break from the city and head to Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre and Salthill Beaches. Salthill Promenade and Galway City Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Galway side-trips: Michael Davitt Museum (in Foxford), National Museum of Ireland - Country Life (in Castlebar) and Drummindoo Stud (in Westport). Spend the 20th (Wed) among the memorable landscape of The Burren. The adventure continues: take a memorable drive along Wild Atlantic Way, stroll around Eyre Square, and trek along with Hillwalk Tours.

If you are flying in from France, the closest major aiports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
