Revered as a spa town and ski resort, Cauterets is a leisurely place well known for its abundant, naturally warm thermal springs and winter sports, such as skiing.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): identify plant and animal life at Dungeon of Eagles and then get to know the resident critters at Parc Animalier Des Pyrenees. Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Eglise des Templiers and then trek along Piay Engaly.

On the northern edge of the Pyrénées, Pau is the perfect base to explore the mountains and ride the Funiculaire de Pau, a unique historic funicular railway that links the city center and Boulevard des Pyrénées to the railway station Gare de Pau.
