City of the Tribes

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Salthill Beaches and Lahinch Beach. Escape the urban bustle at Cliffs of Moher and Burren Birds of Prey Centre. Venture out of the city with trips to Aillwee Cave (in Ballyvaughan), Doolin Cave (in Doolin) and Burren National Park (in Corofin). There's more to do: explore the wealth of natural beauty at Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre and stroll around Eyre Square.

To find photos, ratings, reviews, and more tourist information, read Galway road trip planning website.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In July in Galway, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
