City of the Tribes

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at University of Limerick and Joyce Country Sheepdogs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Galway: O`Dalaigh Jewellers (in Clifden), Quiet Man Bridge (in Oughterard) and Dog's Bay Beach (in Roundstone). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Royal Abbey of Cong, play a few rounds at Dromoland Castle, and ride a horse along Carrowholly Stables & Trekking Centre.

If you are flying in from India, the closest major aiports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In February, daily temperatures in Galway can reach 7°C, while at night they dip to 2°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
