A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Galway: Aillwee Cave (in Ballyvaughan), Cliffs of Moher (in Liscannor) and Burren National Park (in Corofin). Spend the 5th (Sun) among the memorable landscape of The Burren. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden, make a trip to Quay Street, tour the pleasant surroundings at Eyre Square, and ride a horse along Drummindoo Stud.

For traveler tips, reviews, photos, and other tourist information, refer to the Galway trip planner .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. Expect a daytime high around 62°F in August, and nighttime lows around 51°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
