A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
Venture out of the city with trips to The Lost Valley (in Silver Strand), Kilkee (Kilkee Beach & Kilkee Cliff Walk) and Kilrush (Scattery Island, Shannon Dolphin and Wildlife Centre, &more). Spend the 3rd (Tue) among the memorable landscape of The Burren. There's still lots to do: head outdoors with Wild Atlantic Way, step into the grandiose world of King John's Castle, take some stellar pictures from Cliffs of Moher, and take an in-depth tour of Galway City Museum.

For photos, maps, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Galway tour planner.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiports are Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport and Cork Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 12°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
