Sandwiched between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River, Algonquin Provincial Park is the oldest provincial park in Canada and a stunning outdoor playground that draws crowds of nature enthusiasts with its biodiversity.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Sat): stroll through Old Railway Bike Trail, then hike along Hardwood Lookout Trail, and then trek along Highland Backpacking Trail. Keep things going the next day: trek along Bat Lake Trail, then look for gifts at The Lake of Two Rivers Store, and then trek along Fire Tower Trail.

To find other places to visit, maps, photos, and tourist information, you can read our Algonquin Provincial Park trip itinerary planning site.

In October, Algonquin Provincial Park is slightly colder than Toronto - with highs of 15°C and lows of 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Sun) so you can go by car back home.
