A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.

Dunsborough is a coastal town in the South West of Western Australia, 254km south of Perth on the shores of Geographe Bay.Dunsborough is a popular tourist destination for Western Australians; in 1999 it was voted the state's best tourist destination and in 2013 awarded the Top Tourism Award for Population Under 5,000. Step out of Dunsborough with an excursion to Caves Road in Margaret River--about 36 minutes away. Walpole is a town in the south-western region of Western Australia, located approximately south southeast of Perth and west of Denmark.Location and descriptionWalpole lies very close to the northern point of the 100ha Walpole Inlet, from which it takes its name.The inlet in turn is named for the Walpole River, discovered in 1831 by Captain Thomas Bannister, and named by Governor Stirling for Captain W. Walpole, with whom he had served aboard HMS Warspite in 1808.The first European settlers to arrive in the area were Pierre Bellanger and his family in 1909.
