Famous for its nightlife and activity-filled seafront, Pattaya remains a major party destination for tourists and expats in Thailand.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): take in the spiritual surroundings of Big Buddha Temple, then admire the natural beauty at Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, and then step off the mainland to explore Koh Larn. Keep things going the next day: make a trip to The Sanctuary Of Truth and then get to know the resident critters at Khao Kheow Open Zoo.

Bangkok to Pattaya is an approximately 1.5-hour shuttle ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. In August in Pattaya, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 30°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Sat) to allow time to take a shuttle to Bangkok.

Enjoy cultural, historical, and culinary exploration during your holiday in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand and the most populous city in the country.
When in Bangkok, make a side trip to see Ancient City in Samut Prakan, approximately Samut Prakan away. Spend the 8th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of The Grand Palace, admire the striking features of Jim Thompson House, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), and make a trip to Wat Pho.

Traveling by shuttle from Pattaya to Bangkok takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In August, daytime highs in Bangkok are 39°C, while nighttime lows are 30°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
