St. Michael's Church dominates the center of the city with its massive Gothic silhouette and offers encompassing views from its 76 m (250 ft) clock tower. This 15th-century Roman Catholic church was built partially from donations from the townspeople. On the western portal notice the three coats of arms that represent Sigismund as King of Hungary, King of Bohemia, and Holy Roman Emperor. The interior features some medieval frescoes and the oldest section of the church--the 14th-century altar.     Church is renovated so you cannot go inside. Strange situation for such a unique place in Club Napoca.

    One of the most important landmarks of Cluj and my favourite spot for a peaceful moment, this is a must-see. It is also one of the two cathedrals of the city, built in an amazing gothic style started in the 1300s. The church tower is the highest one in Romania. It is located right in the center of the city, in the middle of a large square with lots of shops, restaurants, museums and Roman ruins. You can enjoy the bustling city life, great centuries old architecture and stained glass, relax or have a moment of recollection.
