Eastbourne is a large town, seaside resort, and borough in the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex on the south coast of England, 19mi east of Brighton. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Eastbourne: Hastings (Old Town Hastings & BattleZone Live), Bodiam Castle (in Bodiam), Battle Abbey and Battlefield (in Battle), Brighton (Brighton Beach, Royal Pavilion, & more) and Rye (St. Mary's Parish Church & Rye Harbour Nature Reserve). There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at East Sussex Falconry, get in on the family fun at Drusillas Park, explore the striking landscape at Birling Gap, and stroll through Beachy Head.

To see traveler tips, other places to visit, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Eastbourne vacation builder.

If you are flying in from Belgium, the closest major airports are London Gatwick Airport and London Heathrow Airport. In September, plan for daily highs up to 21°C, and evening lows to 12°C.
