Blue Lagoon, Comino

#1 of 22 in Beaches in Malta
Experience the clear waters and beautiful scenery of a secluded enclave at Blue Lagoon. As the name suggests, the area's brilliantly blue water is so clear that you can see the white sand underneath and watch fish darting around the shores. The surrounding rocks create a natural shelter for the lagoon, making it an ideal place for a leisurely swim or snorkel. Those who want to relax on the beach can rent a sunbed or simply soak up the sun on a towel. Many tour companies offer excursions to the area. • Transparent water, site of all beauty to see absolutely if possible when there are the fewest tourists

  • Comino is a beautiful island that unfortunately has lost all its load due to mass tourism. If you absolutely want to go, take the first boat in order to arrive the 1st and take some pictures. Otherwise go your way!! A boat arrives every half hour and dumps a large flow of tourists. Food trucks are crammed. The "beach club" music resonates in the background. The beach should be 2m2. It is impossible to land a few parts without paying a sunlounge (15 euros for the 2 sunbeds and the parasol). We're piled on each other. You can't swim without being in contact with someone. The photos are marred by the unimaginable number of tourists. And again, we went in September so I dare not imagine the summer ... We spent almost 50 euros to spend 2 hours (20 euros boat - 15 euros of sunbed - 15 euros for 2 fries). We only stayed for 2 hours because it was becoming unbearable. This is money thrown out of the windows clearly. Flee Comino or rent a small boat and make your own excursion to be away from tourists.

  • A lot of people but very beautiful. Don’t get in the chairs or buy food since everything is very overpriced because of tourism
  • Just a nice place to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Unfortunately, these hours, is not accecible.... Otherwise, from 10 a.m. is overcrouded... Also a very expensive area with no sense or reason.... I left disappointed from the way humanity exploits the environment just for immoral profit.
