Statue of Mother Tereza pays homage to the woman known for helping the poor, sick, and abandoned. Born in Macedonia in 1910, this Roman Catholic nun founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950, which today numbers over 4,500 people who run hospices, orphanages, and soup kitchens in 133 countries. The sculpture dedicated to her in Pristina is approximately life-sized, and features Mother Teresa in her old age, humble, with a small child by her side.
