Parco Faunistico le Cornelle, Valbrembo

#1 of 55 in Parks in Province of Bergamo
More than just another run-of-the-mill zoo, Parco Faunistico le Cornelle extends over more than 100 hectares (250 acres), and promotes the study, monitoring, and humane preservation of wildlife in captivity. The animals sheltered here live in enclosures carefully designed to reconstruct their original habitats as closely as possible. At this park you can see over 1,000 animals belonging to over 120 different species, including mammals, birds, and reptiles. The site also boasts one of the largest aviaries in the country, covering an area of about 7,000 sq m (75,000 sq ft). As you explore this sprawling wildlife sanctuary, keep an eye out for endangered snow leopards, white lions, and especially white tigers, which are now completely extinct in the wild. The site includes a restaurant, picnic areas, a children’s park, and several souvenir shops. Save time by booking your tickets online. • I was used to going to the park years ago but it's not worth it anymore. Some animals seem not to feel well, cages are sometimes not suitable. High entry prices for service offered and dirty common areas

  • Beautiful park, well organized and clean. Animals are many and well kept. There are several dining options and picnic areas. We had lunch at self-service: decent food at affordable prices. Convenient parking at 3 degrees. We loved it and visited everything calmly in 5 hours (including lunch).

  • Excellent zoo as very compact, really green and does not feel at all that you are inside the zoo as animals have large places to live in. Features closely giraffes, elephants, tiger, hippopotamus, zebras, leopards. Takes about 3 hours to visit. We had lunch next to reptiles house. The restaurant serves salads, nuggets, french fries. Compared to other parks the salads were freshly made there, thus very good and fairly large. Greek salad, vegetano salad and eight nuggets was 22 euros and was enough for us to share. Next to the restaurant is large kids playground. You can enjoy sitting at the restaurant while kids play. Toilets were clean. At least one had separate baby room. Large parking lot next to the zoo, costs 3 euros.
  • Lovely animal park that's fully worth a visit. Book online to get best pricing. Worth a visit especially with kids. Very clean well kept and food is good throughout. Ample parking available on site free of charge
