Hit the waves at Lahinch Beach, a seaside resort and popular location for sports like kitesurfing, windsurfing, and surfing. The beach is one of the foremost surfing locations in Ireland, and the site of a world record in which 44 surfers rode a single small wave at one time. Perfect your swing at the 36-hole Lahinch golf club, or explore by cycling, hiking, or pony trekking. Take some time to learn about the area's long history--several earth forts indicate the area was inhabited in ancient times, including a prominent one believed to have been built by Danish Vikings. • A good beach to go to on a sunny day! Tide comes quite close to the shore so is nice to view that. Can be pretty cold on windy days.  more »
  • This beach is huge! The area is very pretty and clean. There is a nice walkway along the upper part of the beach. A must see if you are visiting Lahinch.  more »
