Beaufort Golf Course is situated outside of Killarney and is part of the Churchtown Estate, the centre piece of which is the Georgian house built in 1740 by Sir Roland Blennerhassett.

The estate was bought in 1860 by James MacGillycuddy Magill who turned it into one of the largest dairy farms of its time in the Southwest region of Kerry. In recent times. James’s grandson and great grandsons closed the farm in the early nineties and with the help of golf architect Arthur Spring developed Beaufort Golf Course which was officially opened in 1995. The golf course and a large part of the estate was sold to Galvin Developments in 2006 who have redeveloped it into one of the finest parkland Southwest Kerry and putting killarney golfing as a desire place to visit . Beaufort is indeed a beautiful course and provides a great challenge for any type of golfer

  • Played Beaufort golf course for the first time today...what a hidden gem..!!! How many beautiful golf courses can one country have..? We turned up to a lovely friendly welcome at the clubhouse for the start of our round. This Parkland course is beautiful and in great condition. The views around the course are stunning from every direction and the course is surrounded by the McGillycuddy Reeks...this gives every hole a stunning view. We really enjoyed the course and this will be on our list for the future. The clubhouse staff and members were very friendly and welcoming. We had a nice cup of tea and a jam scone which finished off a perfect day. I would recommend this course to everyone. Thanks so much.We will be back.
  • We are here from the states and have golfed in Ireland 4 days in a row. This place was amazing! Set right below the mountains and in good condition. Very surprised they don’t get more play. Easy to walk, friendly people, and great scenery! I highly recommend this course if you are anywhere near Killarney!
