Galway Walks was started by Brian Nolan, a local to Galway with years of experience dealing with visitors from all over the world, introducing them to the CRAIC (Irish for fun)in Ireland and helping visitors trace their ancestors and experience the life their ancestors lived.

With Brian you can walk in the footsteps of the Celts, the Irish, Vikings, Normans, English and more. Brian guides groups every day, morning and evening, or even at night, all year round. He combines a quick wit, a vivid imagination and a great interest in history to paint a picture of Galway in every age.

'It's not about the city, it's about the people who lived and died here; lived, loved and laughed, it's their stories I love to tell'. Brian Nolan

  • It was our first time in Galway and having a little girellato on our own we decided to buy a walking tour with Gore (at the tourist office in front of the bus station), usually Gore organizes 3/4 tours a week in the afternoon (16/17... depends) and We were fortunate to participate in one of these. He has a very understandable Englishman... He revealed in detail the history of the city of Galway never bothering us and doing some episodes of the past and various Irish legends. We have explored all the Spanish Arch Centre, churches and famous streets, but also theatres and historic pubs. To recommend absolutely, it was very helpful and Gore is really an accommodating and pretty person.
