Galway Bay, Galway

#2 of 14 in Parks in Galway
Water Body · Nature / Park
Walk along the beaches of Galway Bay, one of the area's most picturesque spots just southwest of the city. You may recognize the name from a John Lennon tune--he is only one of many that have sung about this bay. Walk along the beaches, and if you catch them on a dry day, sit and enjoy the swans swimming in the area. Nearby is the Long Walk, a row of colourful houses that line the water. Cap off your time here with a pint of Guinness at a nearby pub, or hang around for nightlife if you're in the mood.
